Vonda's memorial

Went to Vonda's memorial service today. It was super interesting to be in a really large room with so many old time ( to me) science fiction fans and many writers as well. Got to hang out and have sushi at a table with Greg Bear and several others whose names I do not remember. They fed us HUGE amounts of sushi and sashimi. Talked to so many interesting people and got to hear many wonderful Vonda stories. Also got a stack of her books that I have never read before. It was a good day. Hard because of all the pent up emotions. Also got to see of our friends who have a had cancer surgery in the last two weeks. One has good news the other is terminal. Sigh.......
