This is it! We're close to proving bakery hauntings, I can feel it!

Scoff all you like, but I was present at an undersea, unexplained mass sponge migration.

Not to mention they were wearing PANTS.

Look! Actual ectoplasmic residue! This is great!

"He slimed me."

Oh buck up, Frosty, you'll be fine.

Talk about telekinetic activity - look at this mess!

It's like the Salem mass Silly String turbulence of 1947. DEFINITELY supernatural origin.

You know, I collect spores, mold, and fungus...

...but that is just NASTY.

Listen! You smell something?

"There is no 'wee wee,' only stool."

Hm. You'd better get a sample.

What, you question my methods?

Back off, man; I'm a SCIENTIST.

That's better.

Oh, and whatever you do, don't cross the streams. That would be bad.

I can see you're still not convinced on this bakery ghost thing.

Then answer me this: would any human being stack cakes this way?

I rest my case.

Thanks to Anna S., Matthew Z., Alyssa P., Dylan W., Lindsey D., Cynthia C., & Anna A., who are pretty sure that sample cup means "you're in trouble."

The life of a stray cat can truly be challenging. The life of a stray female cat… somehow even worse. There is no way to avoid it as a stray female kitty. You are irresistible not only to us, cat people, who want to pet you all the time because you are cute, but also to other cats. And that means that itty bitty fluffy consequences are bound to happen. Of course, living life as a stray momma cat is one of the biggest challenges that there is, so… sometimes, you have to do something about it.

This is not the first time that we have heard of a pregnant cat needing help, and it is probably not going to be the last. Helping a momma cat, especially when she goes out of her way and braves her fears to ask a human for help, is the best and kindest things that you can do for her. It's life-changing. And one thing that we can promise you - if you do it, she will be the most grateful creature in the world.

That awkward moment when you go to Target for paper towels and toothpaste, and you come back with a tuxedo cat (and not paper towels or toothpaste).

When the CDS calls, you answer. That's the name of the game for feline lovers all over the world, and even when you try to push the CDS away, it reels you back in. Felines are persuasive in that way, even when they don't try to be. I guess that's just the magic of a furry coat of fur and a purr that can heal us all. What a world we live in, am I right?

While this human was leaving Target, they saw a glimpse of a black and white furry fella who seemed out of place. They write it off, but the next day, they see the fuzzy guy again. They decide to take him to the vet, and then to the shelter… Their first mistake. You simply don't give back a cat that the CDS gifted you. It's almost sacrilegious. That decision didn't last long, if you couldn't tell…

It's nice to know that the CDS always ensures a catto in need gets the happy ending they deserve—and pet parents are to thank for that!

When deciding to become a pet parent, it's important to do research on the breed you are committing to parenting. They are all different and have their own unique needs. To be the best pet parent you can be, it's important to know these things before even finding your forever fur friend.

However, this isn't always possible. Many people become pet parents before even deciding to become pet parents. Like, this mom who tried to do all the important research on the Main Coon kitten her family was adopting. It turned out, however, that she needed to do more research because she ended up with two cats, two breeds.

No, no you deserve some kindness, some comfort and heck, anything that would make it easier to ease into the working week once more, because it is no easy task to pull yourself away from your cute cat children at home in order to go and make a living. Even if it is the only way you will earn enough to pamper your catto.

So we wanted to ease you into the working week with this collection of heart-melting photos of tiny baby kittens, because let's face it, there is nothing quite like the power of fluffy little felines to calm your cat loving soul. This is one of the main ways that cats are different than dogs - dogs are inherently trusting, but cats? You have to earn the trust of a cat. A lot of people get purrfectly upset when they bring a cat back for the first time because most cats will hide for at least a few hours upon arriving to a new home. But for all of us feline expurrts, we know that this is normal.

Cats need time to adjust to a new environment, even if it's one that is full of love. Many will mistake this for the cat not liking them, but it's all just part of the kitty's process.

Some cats take longer than others to warm up. It's not uncommon for especially shy cats to take weeks, even months, to come out of hiding. Unfortunately, a lot of cats are returned during this period because their hoomans weren't patient enough. However, if you can wait it out, the scared baby will eventually understand that you are purrfectly trustworthy, and then you will have a best friend fur life.

That's exactly what happened below - a loving cat purrson adopted a shy shelter cat, who spent months hiding in her home. Every night after work, she would read to the cat, or speak about her day, leaving treats for her to take after she left the room. Eventually, the cat came out, and now she's queen of the house.

Twitter, as we all know, is a wild place nowadays. And deciding to go on there means playing with fate. You never know if you are going to get some adorably funny cat memes coming your way or some world-shattering news event that you almost wish you could have never known about. It's tough, and yet… our heart is still in it. We cannot stop going to that place if it means losing out on all of the ameowzing cat content that goes up on there. And so, we have come up with this segment.

Every single week, first thing on Sunday morning, we bring you a collection of the best that cat twitter has to offer - the most viral posts, the cutest stories, the funniest cat memes. And all of that comes free of the madness. We face the heat so that you don't have to - so that you could simply come here and start your morning on the right paw, the way that you truly deserve to.

One of the worst things that we have gone through as cat owners was having our cat run away. It happened once and only once, and luckily, our kitty came back to us 24 hours later, but those 24 hours were some of the absolute worst. The concern, the fear we experienced, we haven't felt anything quite like it since. The knowledge that our spoiled little kitty would most likely not survive out there on its own for long haunted us. We cannot imagine having to go through something like that longer than 24 hours, but it does happen.

Still, cats are loyal creatures, no matter what haters might say about them. Cats remember us, they remember where they're from, and once they find their way back - whether it's 24 hours later or a year later - they will remember us. We know that, but we still understand the fear. It's a good thing that stories like these exist though- stories that remind us that no, we should not be afraid of our cats forgetting us.

The "Wonders" (of) Punctuation...

Allow me to present a mini educational series on the "wonders" of punctuation.

[Cue the cheesy music!]

Makes you wonder, doesn't it?

Now remember, boys and girls: Punctuation can be a scary thing, but skipping it all together is never the answer.

Unless you want to command everyone to love their "senoirs."

On the other hand, filling your cake with the wrong punctuation isn't the answer, either.

Ah, a classic case of WTH: "Where's the H?"

Fortunately, punctuation allows us to add an appropriate level of enthusiasm to our greetings:

Pass the tissues. I think Linda is having a moment.

...not to mention convey our "sincerity":

And we mean that, Elizabeth. Like, soooo much.

(Btw, bonus points for the random asterisk. I assume the footnote came on a cupcake? That said, "Not really"?)

Of course, it is possible to go overboard from time to time:

Not to mention that pesky "you're" business.

Yep. Pesky.

And will someone please explain this?

Parentheses? Really? Look, bakers, I'm pretty sure no one has ever - EVER - ordered parentheses on a cake, so why would you even consider...

Ok, so ONE person ordered parentheses on a cake.

That just means you're both wrong.

"Congratulations."

Thanks to Andrea M., Anne G., Anna S., Linda J., Margaret J., Lisa, Kayla H., Debb D., & Bunny B., who I hear enjoy cooking their dogs and their families. So let's eat guys!

Talk about purrfect timing! One year ago, this proud new homeowner was just settling in with two kids and a promise. Once the budget bounced back, they'd adopt a cat. But the universe clearly didn't want to wait. One night, a determined feline showed up at their door, meowing like she already had the keys. Within seconds, she'd claimed the house, leaping from counters to cabinets like a fuzzy parkour champion.

Turns out, Angel (as she's now lovingly called) had been abandoned by the home's previous owner and she stuck around waiting for her real family to move in. She may have started as a stowaway, but now she's the queen of the castle, complete with her own bed on the cabinets and two kitten sidekicks to rule alongside her.

From stray to spoiled, this is one glow-up story for the hiss-tory books. Sometimes you don't choose the cat. The cat chooses you (and your mortgage).

The title says it all, and we all understand what it means. There's a tacit implication of what it means to be "cat." Cat humor, cat behavior, cat anything is so iconically cat. From their paranoid crazy eyes, to being calm one minute to running over to bounce off the walls the next, cats really hold up to their stereotypes. There's never a time when I meet a cat and it isn't just the most cat-like cat to me. Even a white, soft, fluffy, beautiful cat is still...a cat. There's something stripped of sophistication, in the most cat way.

My cat is so cat he doesn't even know it (or maybe he does). Sometimes I think he's actually a little man in the body of a cat, or a baby. His facial expressions are too human-like for me to believe he's fully cat, but it's exactly what makes him so cat...cat-ception! So enjoy these adorable and hilarious cat memes and ponder if your cat is really that cat.

We're pretty sure that cats are the purrfection of evolution. They've evolved into their peak cuteness while also achieving their maximum mischievousness at the same time. Because you had better believe that if they weren't so cute, we wouldn't let them get away with half of the shenanigans they pull every day. From waking up to them eating our hair to stealing literally whole loaves of bread from the cabinets, these kitties only have to meow a few times and purr against us, and we are pawsitively powerless to do anything other than furgive them.

Do they ever follow our demands? No. But do they apologize in the most awwdorable ways after they've done something bad? Yes. They know that we're obsessed with them, and they hold that power over us every second of every day. What else are we supposed to do when they start head-bumping us and offering us their forbidden belly, which is just begging for rubs? Ignore it? Absolutely not. In accepting their apology, we also let go of our feline frustration, and then we continue in this endless cycle of chaos, cuteness, and absolutely zero remorse.

Are they criminals, worthy of a lifetime in jail? Yes. But we also hold the keys to their cell, and we let them out. So really, we're the ones to blame here. Enjoy these spicy feisty felines below being well…. cats.

Guard your ankles and grab that wet food can opener!—The cat council has summoned all human cat lovers to the front row. With kibble gravy in hand, all humans must report to their feline overlord, reporting this quarterly cuddle assessment. Alas, since there can never be enough cuddling with a cat, the kitties have a few demands to make.

Like always, cat lovers will always yield to the requests of their silly feline. Since day 1, when the CDS dumped this puffball of menacing kitten energy and mischief, a cat owner has been a servant of their catto's every request. Too cold on the floor? We carry them to their favorite sunny spot in the window. Not enough kibbles in the bowl? Here, kitty kitty, have a second bowl of food alongside it. Not enough toys? Okay, fine, we'll go to PetSmart again for another toy overhaul.

It's not an easy life to be a cat lover. Our cats expect the world from us, and we'll just have to humbly oblige… Again.
