Watching the violence escalate in downtown Seattle is heartbreaking. There were several wonderful peaceful protests going on and then splinter groups came in and started firing fireworks and protesters and throwing bottles at the police. Then the cars got set on fire. And some buildings. Stores were looted and people were hurt. A curfew was called. The national guard have been called to help for the next week.And in all this the real message gets lost. People will only see the violence not hear the message.
