E-mail from mom tonight.We are, none of us, executors of her will now. Power of attorney for her finances and health have been passed to others, so we are no longer involved. But, she hopes that we are well.

I am still impressed by the passive aggressive way she decided to tell us. I keep thinking over and over again that I am "relieved of the burden." We all are. Honestly, it is about time.

Well, it is a relief to be disowned in some ways. And now she has the family that she wanted. Until they get tired of it. Do you think that they will actually call and let us know whenshe croaks?

Well, the way I see it (and I am going to sound like an asshole, I know), is that it is about time some of the replacement offspring took on the heavy lifting.

I think they will actually call - I am dreading it, but I think they will. And when that happens, we will deal with together.
